In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.I), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the “Schedule of DEPB Rates” (as amended from time to time).
Fish, Crustaceans, Molluscs, Aquatic, Invertebrates and any Aquatic Animal product of marine or fresh water origin in live or chilled or dried form, including Ornamental Fish and any Aquatic Animal product of marine or fresh water origin not covered under S.No. 2 below.
The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified the procedures for claiming the duty credits under the Status Holder Incentive Scheme (SHIS). He has also issued a Policy Circular clarifying listing of supporting manufacturers in the duty credit scrips. He needs to clarify an important confusion regarding realisation of foreign exchange.
Attention is invited to Para 3.16 of the FTP and Public Notice No. 54/2009-14 dated 8.4.2010 which announced the procedure and application form ANF3E for filing the claim under SHIS scheme. Foroperationalising the scheme, the following has been decided.
The contracts for export of cotton yarn shall be registered with the textile commissioner prior to shipment, the notification said. Clearance of cotton yarn consignments would be cleared by the Customs after verifying that the contracts have been registered, it added.

Applications are invited for issue of import licences for rough marble blocks only for the financial year 2010-11 from the eligible applicants as per the Marble Import Policy announced vide Notification No.36/2009-2014 dated 31st March, 2010. The quota for the year shall be 3 lakh MT.
In continuation of Policy Circular No. 33 dated 30th September, 2010 it has been decided to designate Basmati Export Development Foundation (BEDF), Modipuram as an authorized centre for testing of samples of basmati rice for variety identification. Accordingly, Customs may draw samples for variety identification and send these samples for analysis to Basmati Export Development Foundation (BEDF), Modipuram, in addition to AGMARK testing centres.
