The Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has issued a Public Notice Number 14/2015-20 dated 13 July 2021 to extend time limit for filing of claims under the Transport and Marketing Assistance (TMA) scheme.
The “Transport and Marketing Assistance” (TMA) for specified agriculture products Scheme aims to provide assistance for the international component of freight and marketing of agricultural produce which is likely to mitigate the disadvantage of the higher cost of transportation of export of specified agriculture products due to trans-shipment and to promote brand recognition for Indian agricultural products in the specified overseas markets.
The original date for filing of application for TMA for March 2020 was March 2021 and June 2020 was June 2021. However, considering the current pandemic situation, these dates are extended to 30 September 2021.
Hence, exporters, registered with relevant Export Promotion Council, of eligible agriculture products covered in HSN chapter 1 to 24, who have missed filing their TMA benefit for March and June 2020, will be able to file the same till 30 September 2021.
