Seeks to further amend notification No. 57/2017-Customs dated 30.06.2017 so as to withdraw exemption from BCD on Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), Camera Module and Connectors, of cellular mobile phones and impose 10% BCD on them.

Seeks to increase tariff rate of BCD on populated, loaded or stuffed printed circuit boards, falling under tariff item 8517 70 10, of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 from Nil to 10%.

Pre-notice consultation shall be made in the following manner:- (1) Before the notice is issued, the proper officer shall inform, in writing, the person chargeable with duty or interest of the intention to issue the notice specifying the grounds known to the proper officer on which such notice is proposed to be issued and the process of pre-notice consultation shall be initiated as far as possible atleast two months before the expiry of the time limit mentioned in sub-section (3) of section 28 of the Act.

No prohibition under GST Law on Transporting of Goods to Unregistered Person: HC

The specific case of the petitioner is that the consignment was intended to be supplied to three parties for quality appraisal on job work basis. Such transactions are not prohibited. Such goods in terms of the provisions contained in the CGST and SGST Act are to be transported on delivery chalans. The question whether the person to whom such goods are supplied has registration is irrelevant in the context of the statutes.

Banks are required to mark to market (MTM) the individual scrips in Available for Sale (AFS) at quarterly/more frequent intervals and Held for Trading (HFT) at monthly/more frequent intervals and provide for net depreciation, if any.

The Section 44AD of the Income Tax Act contains special provisions for computing profits and gains of a business on presumptive basis. According to this section the profits and gains from eligible businesses carried by an eligible assessee are required to be computed at least at the rate of 8% / 6% of the total turnover / gross receipts.
