By the end of 16th June, 2018, Rs.6,087 crore IGST refund has been sanctioned in the refund fortnight. Ministry of Civil Aviation has drawn attention of Finance Secretary to a letter issued by Deputy Commissioner, IGI Airport to various duty-free shops requiring them to pay IGST on goods sold by them since 1.7.2017 citing the ruling by Authority for Advance Ruling, Delhi in the case of M/S Rod Retail Private Ltd. Integrated tax shall be levied and collected at the time of final clearance of the warehoused goods for home consumption i.e., at the time of filing the ex-bond bill of entry and the value addition accruing at each stage of supply shall form part of the value on which the integrated tax would be payable at the time of clearance of the warehoused goods for home consumption.
If we have IGST credit available with us then first of all we will have to set off IGST payable from this IGST credit and even after that If we have enough of IGST credit left then this IGST credit first will be used to set off CGST liability and if again we have some IGST credit left with us then set off SGST liability from it.
e-way bill is a document required to be carried by a person in charge of the conveyance carrying any consignment of goods of value exceeding fifty thousand rupees as mandated by the Government in terms of Section 68 of the Goods and Services Tax Act read with Rule 138 of the rules framed thereunder.
