Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion had issued a Consolidated FDI Policy Circular (Circular 1 of 2010) on 31.03.2010,making all information on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Policy available at one place and subsuming all earlier Press Notes/ /Press Releases/ Clarifications regarding Government policy on FDI, issued by the Department from time to time. Subsequently Circulars were issued on 30.09.2010, 31.03.2011and 30.09.2011.
2. The latest Consolidated FDI Policy Circular (Circular 2 of 2011) is available on this Department’s website at http://dipp.nic.in/English/policies/FDI_Circular_02_2011.pdf ‘Circular 2 of 2011’ has been amended vide Press Release dated 1.10.2011 and Press Note No. 3(2011 Series) dated 08.11.2011 and Press Note No. 1(2012 Series) dated 10.01.2012, which are also available on the Department’s website
3. The next edition of the Consolidated FDI Policy Circular i.e., ‘Circular 1 of 2012’, is scheduled to be issued on 31.03.2012 and will be effective from 01.04.2012.
4. Comments/suggestions on ‘Circular 2 of 2011’, as amended, are invited from stakeholders by 15.02.2012for consideration. The comments may be sent to the following officials in this Department, besides the undersigned:
