Sub: Publicity Campaign for Income Declaration Scheme-2016.
This is to inform you that the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) jointly with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Finance has proposed to launch a series of awareness programmes on Income Declaration Scheme, 2016(IDS) on 2nd July, 2016 across India.
ICAI has informed that it is fully committed for promotion of the IDS-2016 through its large network of 154 branches all over India. For the said purpose, the Chairmen of various branches of ICAI would approach the CCsIT/PCsIT/CsIT/Officer in-charge of the local Income Tax Office. The contact details of branches of the ICAI and the Chairmen of the said branches is attached as annexure. Accordingly, all CCsIT/PCsIT/CsIT are requested to extend all support to ICAI in the propagation of IDS-2016 and make themselves available on the said date.
It is further requested that a resource person cum nodal officer may be nominated for each of the said stations who can be contacted by the local branch of ICAI. The details of the nodal officers may be sent to CIT(Media) on email id firstname.lastname@example.org so that consolidated list may be sent to ICAI for further action.
