ORDER NO. 219 OF 2017

The President is pleased to appoint the following five officers of Indian Revenue Service to the grade of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax (JCIT) on Ad-hoc basis in Level — 12 in the pay matrix Rs. 78800-209200 against panel year 2016-17 notionally w.e.f. 07.04.2016 the date of appointment of their juniors and actually w.e.f. assumption of charge of the post, for a period not exceeding one year. These appointments are being effected on in situ basis and the officers will continue to discharge the same functions and duties as they were discharging before their appointments as JCIT until further orders: – ORDER NO. 219 OF 2017

2. These promotions are intended to be on ad-hoc nature subject to the following conditions:

(i) Such appointments shall not confer any right to the officers for continued officiating or seniority or for regular promotion and shall be governed by the instructions of DOP&T as contained in OM No. 28036/8/87-Estt.(D) dated 30 03 1988 and instructions issued by Government from time to time;

(ii) These appointments will not confer any right or equity in favour of the appointees.

3. The compliance report regarding assumption of charge of JCIT by the above officers shall
be sent by the Pr. CCIT concerned to the Board by 5th January, 2018.
