It is not a good initiative. The filing should be made mandatory in e-filing across board and there should not be any exception.Because co-operative societies also comes under this addition. All co-operative societies bank accounts are in DCC Bank and this bank is doing work completely offline. so how we can provide MICR and IFSC ?

Now that the Revenue has gone ahead with national networking of IT records with an unprecedented God speed, to suit the ways of the modern world, is to be commended. But suggestion that it should be extended across the board to one and all , and in one go, seems to be lacking in conviction; in that, it overlooks the additional hassle and inconvenience, so also hardship, that would entail to small taxpayers cum senior citizens – create one more hurdle to them in timely compliance but with no external good quality assistance which is available only for a fee.
Yet another suggestion but intended for the common benefit of all, particularly the most salaried and like tax payers to the effect that there is no rhyme or reason in continuing with the requirement of physical filing of Form V (Ack)hence requires to be dispensed with has sadly failed to percolate through and be done. The attendant problems faced and pointed out through this website and elsewhere ought to be considered seriously and acted upon by the Revenue with no less alacrity/enthusiasm than that thus far shown in mandating e’filing.
