GST Exemption granted on outward transportation of all goods (freight charges) by air and sea by another one year i.e. up to 30th September 2020

GST Council in its 37th  GST Council  meeting held at  goa  on 20.09.2019 has decided to Extend the GST exemption granted on outward transportation of all goods (Freight Charges for Export) by air and sea by another one year i.e. upto 30th September, 2020 as relief to the exporter of goods.

Earlier in the 25th GST Council Meeting was held at New Delhi on the 18th of January 2018 Exempted services by way of Transportation of goods from India to a place outside India by sea up to 30 September 2018.

Further, GST Council in its 28th GST Council  meeting held at New Delhi on 21.07.2018 was decided to Extend the exemption granted on outward transportation of all goods by air and sea by another one year i.e. upto 30th September, 2019

it is very good decision taken by the Union Finance Minister  Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. This decision is consider as Diwali gift to exporter, who will be happy as the export cost will not increase due to GST amount on Air/ Sea freight charges.
