The Department of Posts issued SB Order No. 03/2026 dated April 28, 2026, revising the withdrawal limit for Aadhaar authenticated (e-KYC) transactions without submission of vouchers under the Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) framework. Referring to SB Order No. 01/2025, which introduced the paperless e-KYC process for POSB transactions, the Department increased the limit for withdrawal transactions conducted through Aadhaar authentication without requiring a withdrawal form or pay-in-slip from ₹5,000 to ₹20,000. The order clarifies that no voucher will continue to be collected for deposit transactions irrespective of the amount, while the enhanced limit will apply specifically to Aadhaar-authenticated withdrawals. The revised limit will also apply to the Standard Operating Procedure annexed to SB Order No. 01/2025, with all other provisions remaining unchanged. The Department directed all postal circles and regions to circulate the revised instructions widely and display them on notice boards in public areas of post offices for customer awareness and operational guidance.
