PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 33/2015-2020

NEW DELHI, DATED THE 23rd OCTOBER, 2017

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.04 of FTP 2015-2020, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the para 3.13 of the Handbook of Procedures (2015-2020).

2. The existing para 3.13 of HBP (2015-2020) reads as under:-

Duty Credit Scrip shall be valid for a period of 18 months from the date of issue and must be valid on the date on which actual debit of duty is made. Re validation of Duty Credit Scrip shall not be permitted unless covered under paragraph 2.20(c) of HBP.

3. The amended para 3.13 of HBP (2015-2020) is substituted to read as under:-

Duty Credit Scrip issued on or after 01.01.2016 under chapter 3 shall be valid for a period of 24 months from the date of issue and must be valid on the date on which actual debit of duty is made. Re validation of Duty Credit Scrip shall not be permitted unless covered under paragraph 2.20(c) of HBP.

4. Effect of this Public Notice:

The validity period of duty credit scrips issued under chapter 3 of Foreign Trade policy is being increased from 18 to 24 months for scrips issued with effect from 01.01.2016.
