Public Notice No. 77 (RE-03)/2002-2007, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), dated 26th August 2004, makes amendments and additions to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. 2, 2002-2007, under the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007. These revisions include changes in the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for various export categories such as Chemicals and Allied Products, Engineering Products, and Textile Products. The notice introduces new entries to the SION for items like chemicals, fabricated steel hardware, and textile components, along with amendments to the quantities and descriptions of import and export items. Specific changes include updates to the import items required for the production of various chemicals and engineering products. These modifications are designed to streamline trade procedures and ensure compliance with the policy guidelines for export and import activities. The notice also specifies the amendments and deletions to existing norms, as detailed in the annexures attached.

Attention is invited to Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended and Paragraphs 4.9 and 4.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 2002-2007, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended from time to time.
2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/deletions/corrections and additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended.
3. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended, amendments/ corrections/ deletion at appropriate places as mentioned in Annexure “A” to this Public Notice shall be made.
4. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms, following additions shall be made at appropriate places as mentioned below:-
CHEMICALS AND ALLIED PRODUCTS
After the existing entry at Sr. No.A-3332, new entries at Sr. No. A-3333 to A-3378 shall be added as per Annexure ”B” to this Public Notice.
