Public Notice No. 2 (RE-2002)/2002-07, dated 31st March 2002, issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, notifies the Duty Entitlement Passbook (DEPB) rates for export items. In accordance with Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-07 and Paragraph 1.1 of the Handbook (Vol. 1), the Director General of Foreign Trade has provided a revised list of DEPB rates, which will come into effect from 1st April 2002. The DEPB rates are part of the “Schedule of DEPB Rates” document annexed to the public notice. These updates aim to regulate export incentives for the 2002-07 policy period and are intended to facilitate international trade in the public interest.

NEW DELHI: the 31st March, 2002

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the DEPB rate of the items as contained in the book titled “Schedule of DEPB Rates” as annexed to this Public Notice. This shall come into force from 1st April, 2002.

This issues in public interest.
