Public Notice No. 1 (RE-2001)/1997-2002, issued on March 31, 2001, by the Director General of Foreign Trade, notifies the revised edition of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002. This revised edition, which comes into effect from April 1, 2001, incorporates necessary amendments and updates to the procedures related to the export and import regulations. The revisions are made under the powers granted by Paragraph 4.11 of the policy, as outlined in the Gazette of India extraordinary. The notice aims to ensure the smooth implementation of the updated procedures and facilitate trade compliance.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II- Section 3 – Sub- section (ii) vide S.O No. 283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (Revised Edition-March,2001) as contained in Annexure to this Public Notice. This shall come into force from 1st April, 2001.
