I am happy to inform that DG Systems has won the Open Group award for Innovation & Excellence for its project SAKSHAM in the category “Security by Design”. The award was announced at Open Group conference 2018 held at Bengaluru on 22nd Feb, 2018. The Open Group is a global consortium that enables the achievement of business objectives through technology standards. The Open Group Awards programme recognizes and honours leaders from Government, Industry and Academia for their significant achievements in adopting Enterprise Architecture based on TOGAF® for e-Government, Digital Commerce and Capacity Building. Nominations are invited from East Africa, Middle East, Near East, South Asia, Myanmar and Malaysia. My heartiest congratulations to all the officers and staff of DG Systems for this prestigious award.
As part of the leadership series being conducted by NACIN Mumbai, the 69th batch of the IRS officer trainees had the good fortune to have the legendary batsman Shri Yuvraj Singh interact with them and share his incredible life experiences. I am sure all the young officers of the department would have definitely enjoyed this interaction.
As you are aware, e-SANCHIT shall be made mandatory from 15t” March, 2018. The Board has issued instructions to all the Chief Commissioners to launch e-SANCHIT in all the EDI locations. At present e-SANCHIT is only on voluntary basis. However lack of participation from the stakeholders is a matter of concern. In this regard Member (Customs) has issued a letter dated 23rd February 2018, which may be gone through. Action taken and progress made by your zone must be monitored closely.
Member (IT) has issued a letter dated 26′” February 2018 with regard to feedback on user experience on the CBEC-GST application. Kindly go through the same and convey suggestions if any. to improve the application.
Shri Rajiv Bhatia, Chief Commissioner Panchkula superannuated on 28th February 2018. We had a small get together of the Members and other senior officers of the Board. On behalf of all the officers of the department I wish Shri Bhatia and his family all the very best in life.
