Notification No.  2/2006-Customs

G.S.R. 17 (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 4/99-CUSTOMS, dated the 8th January, 1999, G.S.R. 21(E), dated the 8th January 1999, namely:-

In the said notification, in the Table, in column (3) for clause (a) to the first proviso, the following clause shall be substituted, namely: –

“(a) the goods specified in column (2) are imported –

(i) under the agreement between India and Pakistan for regulation of Bus Service between New Delhi and Lahore, Amritsar and Lahore and Amritsar and Nankana Sahib; or

(ii) under the agreement between India and Bangladesh for regulation of Bus service between Calcutta and Dhaka;”.

Note:-  The principal notification was published vide number G.S.R. 21(E), dated the 8th January, 1999 and was last amended vide G.S.R. 219(E), dated the 22nd March, 1999.
