INTRODUCTION OF NEW WEB BASED SPICe+ FORM
Keeping in view the ease of doing business, new form SPICe+ is notified for the incorporation of a company and incidental registrations. The form SPICe+ replaces the existing SPICe form. While SPICe is an E-form, SPICe+ is an integrated Web form offering 10 services by 3 Central Govt Ministries & Departments. (Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Labour & Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance) and One State Government (Maharashtra), thereby saving as many procedures, time and cost for Starting a Business in India. SPICe+ is part of various initiatives and commitment of Government of India towards Ease of Doing Business (EODB). The new SPICe form is said to save valuable time and procedure maintenance of the concerned people and has been incorporated for all the new companies from 23rd February.
WHAT IS SPICe+ FORM?
SPICe is an abbreviation for Simplified Proforma for Incorporating a Company Electronically and as the name suggests it is an application form for incorporating/registering a company with MCA. The company here means any kind of firm may it be a Private limited company, Public Limited Company, One Person Company, Nidhi Company, Section 8 Company or Producer Company.
SPICe+ (SPICe PLUS) – A Single application for:
After deployment of SPICe plus web form, RUN shall be applicable only for change of name of existing companies.
The SPICe+ application form can be applied in two ways:
1. Part A (Name Reservation) and Part B (All Other Services) can be applied for on a simultaneous basis.
2. Part A can be applied for initially, and upon reservation of the name, Part B can be applied for.
The EODB initiatives taken by the Government over the last few years has significantly advanced the process of company incorporation. Their aim for a seamless and fast procedure is now slowly turning into a reality. This helps in increasing company formation with lesser complexities along with better compliances.

What is the First step for availing the incorporation services through SPICe+ Web form?
SPICe+ Web form is a post-login service and existing registered users would need to login into their account using their credentials. New users are required to create a login account first before using the service.
What are the new fields introduced in Part A of SPICe+ while reserving name?
New fields introduced are:
(i) Type* of company
(ii) Class of company
(iii) Category of company
(iv) Sub-Category of company
(v) Main division of industrial activity of the company
(vi) Description of the main division.
How many times changes/ modifications to SPICe+ (after generating pdf and affixing DSCs) can be made?
Changes/modifications to SPICe+ (even after generating pdf and affixing DSCs), can be made up to five times by editing the same web form application which has been saved, generating the updated pdf affixing DSCs and uploading the same.
Under which role DSC needs to be associated for First Directors not having DIN/Subscribers?
First directors not having DIN/Subscribers having PAN shall associate their DSC under ‘authorised representative’ by providing their PAN. Once DIN is allocated for first directors post approval of SPICe+, DSC may be updated against DIN by using ‘Update DSC’ service.
