How can the stakeholder avail the SMS Alert Facility?

This facility is available for both, new and registered users.

Kindly follow the below mentioned steps to register for the SMS Alert Facility: 

For New User :-

  1. Click on “New User Registration” link available on the home page of MCA21 Portal.
  2. Fill the required fields and click the radio button “YES” along with the field “Whether you wish to avail SMS alert facility”.
  3. Provide your Mobile Number in the field “Mobile”.
  4. Click on “Create My Account” button to submit the details. 

For Registered User :-

Case I :

  1. Log into MCA21 Portal.
  2. Click on the link “Register for SMS Alerts”.
  3. Click the radio button “YES” along with the field “Whether you wish to avail SMS alert facility”.
  4. Provide your Mobile Number in the field “Mobile”
  5. Click on “Update” to save the details.

Case II :

  1. Log into MCA21 Portal.
  2. Click on the link “My Profile” and then “View/ Update mobile number”.
  3. A new window will open asking for “Whether you wish to avail SMS alert facility”. Select the radio button “YES” besides the field.
  4. Provide your Mobile Number in the field “Mobile”.
  5. Click on “Update” to save the details.

What is the effective date of the launch of the facility?

The facility shall tentatively come into force on 17th October, 2010.

What are the functionalities in which SMS Alert Facility is applicable?

Once the stakeholder’s have registered for the SMS Alert Facility, they will receive an alert for the following functionalities:

  1. Upon successful upload of the eForms (i.e. upon challan/ receipt/ acknowledgement generation).
  2. When there is a change in the payment status of the eForm SRN.
  3. For every change in the transaction status of the eForm SRN.
  4. Upon successful registration of new user on MCA21 Portal.
  5. Upon modification of user profile on MCA21 Portal.

For which eForms, SMS alerts are applicable?

Presently, this facility is applicable only for Annual Filing eForms i.e. 20B, 23AC, 23ACA, 66 and 21A.
