Inspired by her husband Devendra Kumar Somani, who is also a chartered accountant, CA. Rekha Somani having Arts background joined CA course in the age of 37 years and passed CA (Final) examination in May, 2017. She had rejoined studies after a long gap of about 17 years. It was really a difficult task for a mother of two children to join and become CA in the late age with no background of commerce subjects. She maintained a perfect balance between her studies and family and exemplified a level of commitment, which can serve as a model for others.

Now, she decided to give back to the society. She alongwith her husband CA. Devendra Kumar Somani established a “Super-10 Group” for needy & less privileged students who have a dream to become CA. She has decided to spend time & money for their studies and upliftment. She is confident that with the grace of God, she will be able to achieve the goal of making such students successful in passing the CA examination. It requires a lot of effort and dedication for a lady to do all this. But what is staggering is how the efforts of one person, one particular person, can truly make a difference in addressing the concern of the society and others upliftment. She has just completed her CA and volunteered the services for prestigious education. She believes that giving back to the society not only makes us more generous, it also gives us a sense of purpose and happiness in doing something for others who need it more. Giving back to society is de-stressing too, it helps us to realize our own self and manage our inner relationship to make us live and our need to become a more responsible citizen and an individual.

CA Rekha Somani

Giving back to society can begin with even the smallest of the gestures. Sharing knowledge for free, adding your voice to a common goal, or helping in a community project with your time are just the ways a beginner may start to give back.

Because of these efforts, CA. Rekha has earned the respect and gratitude of those for whom and with whom she serves and her peers.

The morale of the story is at the end of the day it’s not about what you have or what you’ve accomplished… It’s all about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back. In life, you get what you give.
