Empanelment Application 2023-24: Update UDINs at O/o C&AG – Professional Development Committee, ICAI

The Professional Development Committee of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released an important announcement regarding the Empanelment Application for the year 2023-24 hosted by the O/o C&AG. In response to representations received regarding Audit Experience Details (where turnover/certified expenditure is more than Rs. 40 Crore), a One-Time Redressal Window has been provided for applicants to update their UDINs. The window is open for three days  (from 27.06.2023 to 29.06.2023) , allowing applicants to add, delete, or modify the UDINs submitted in their online applications. Those who registered for MEF 2022-23 will use the same login credentials, while non-registered applicants will receive login details via email. It is important to note that the updated data will supersede previously submitted UDINs. Direct correspondence with the O/o C&AG is discouraged, and members can seek clarification by emailing [email protected] or calling 011-30110440.

EMPANELMENT APPLICATION FOR THE YEAR 2023-24 HOSTED BY THE O/O C&AG

C&AG Empanelment Application 2023-24 Update UDINs

The Institute is in receipt of various representations with regard to data furnished with O/o C&AG under the head “Audit Experience Details (where turnover/certified expenditure is more than Rs. 40 Crore)”. In order to address these Representations, a One-Time Redressal Window is being made available for 3 days from 27.06.2023 to 29.06.2023 (both days included) to add/delete/modify the UDINs submitted by the applicants in their Online application filed with the O/o C&AG. The applicants who desire to update the information regarding the UDINs submitted earlier by them to the O/o C&AG, can do so at the given redressal window in the given timelines at link https://app.meficai.org/auditExperienceDetails. For those applicants who have registered themselves at the MEF Portal for the year 2022-23, the login credentials will remain the same. The applicants who do not have login credentials for MEF 2022-23, login details will be sent to their e-mail id.

Further, the applicants are hereby informed that the UDIN data submitted earlier to O/o C&AG will be superseded with the data updated and validated at this window. In case of applicants who do not want to edit/modify/add the data, the data previously submitted will be considered “as it is”.

Empanelment with the O/o C&AG of India for the year 2023-2024 FROM MAY 30, 2023 TO JUNE 8, 2023

Provisional empanelment status of the firm along with provisional point score for the year 2023-2024 will be available on the website www.care.cag.gov.in from 30th May 2023 to 8th June 2023. Representations, if any, for rectification of clerical mistakes in the data filed by the firm in the online application, may be sent by email at [email protected] by 8th June 2023. The representation will be considered on merit and on case to case basis by them. It may be noted that no request for fresh data entry of any kind will be entertained by them.

The final empanelment status and/or final point score may vary in comparison to status shown in provisional panel on account of information which is pending from different investigating authorities, representations made by the firms, other bonafide reasons etc. No representation will be entertained after the period of 10 days as mentioned above.

CAG Empanelment process for 2023-24 has started from 06th January. Last Date for online submission is 15th February, 2023. The firms/LLPs will be required to submit a print out of the acknowledgement letter generated online and also hard copies of the documents in support of their online application to this office by 28 February 2023.

Empanelment of Chartered Accountant firms/LLPs for the year 2023-2024

Online Applications are invited from Chartered Accountant firms/LLPs who desire to be empanelled with the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2023-2024 for considering for appointment as auditors of Companies as per Sections 139(5) and 139(7) of the Companies Act 2013 and of Statutory Corporations/Autonomous Bodies as per the provisions of their respective Acts.

Online application form along with detailed instructions in this regard will be available on the website www.cag.gov.in from 06 January 2023 to 15 February 2023. The applicant firms/LLPs will have to fill/update the data showing the status of their firm as on 1 January 2023. After filling/updating the data, the firms/LLPs will be required to generate online acknowledgement letter for the year. If the firms/LLPs fail to generate online acknowledgment letter, their application would not be considered for empanelment. The firms/LLPs will be required to submit a print out of the acknowledgement letter generated online and also hard copies of the documents in support of their online application to this office by 28 February 2023.

    CAG Approved empaneled AUDIT Firms are for particular financial year or it can be valid for previous/subsequent year. The Utilisation Certificate for grants received from Govt. of India, please.

      It will be valid from the date of empanlement to the next year empanelment. During this period we can do any audit work for the same year or previous years.
