36191 new companies incorporated from April to June 2021

The number of new companies incorporated in the Country under the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 from April 2021 to June, 2021 is 36,191 as compared to 18,968 number of new companies in the corresponding period of last year which is an increase of 17,223 number of new Companies.

Importers of pulses exempted from stock limits

Central Government has relaxed stock limits for Millers and wholesalers and exempted importers from the same. These entities shall however continue to declare stocks on the web portal of Department of Consumer Affairs. The Stock Limits shall be applicable only to Tur, Urad, Gram and Masur.

During the course of the survey operation, evidences of tax evasion have been gathered regarding wrongful claims of deduction u/s 80JJAA of Income-tax Act, 1961. The investigations further revealed, that, even though the emoluments of new employees added were more than Rs. 25,000 per month, the assessee has been wrongfully claiming deduction u/s 80JJAA by excluding certain components of emoluments of such employees to fit into the eligible emoluments limit of Rs. 25,000 per month.
