The CHAMPIONS stands for Creation and Harmonious Application of Modern Processes for Increasing the Output and National Strength. It was launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on 1st June, 2020. The portal is basically for making the smaller units big by solving their grievances, encouraging, supporting, helping and handholding. It is a real one-stop-shop solution of MSME Ministry.

The “CHAMPIONS” portal utilises modern ICT tools such as telephone, internet and video conference, and aims to assist Indian MSMEs to march into big league as National and Global CHAMPIONS.In addition to ICT tools including telephone, internet and video conference, the system is enabled by Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics and Machine Learning.

Three basic objectives of the CHAMPIONS :

– To help the MSMEs in this difficult situation in terms of finance, raw materials, labour, permissions, etc.

– To help the MSMEs capture new opportunities including manufacturing of medical items & accessories.

– To identify the sparks, i.e., the bright MSMEs who can withstand at present and become national and international champions.

Keeping the basic objectives in mind, the government is pushing the MSME sector by supporting, giving the opportunities to explore and promoting them and becoming the spinal cord of MSMEs.

ABOUT THE PORTAL

In the CHAMPIONS portal designed for MSME, any person registered under MSME can register their grievances under this portal. Further persons registered under MSME can file an application for delayed payments under this portal which will lead you to go to samadhan.msme.gov.in

A new initiative has been launched by the government where you can share your idea under the “Your Ideas” column in the CHAMPIONS portal. This is known as the MSME bank of scheme, ideas, innovations & research.

You can also check the status of the grievance register in the same portal and keep the track of the same from time to time. You just have to enter the grievance number which is provided by the portal after you lodge a complaint and a number is issued.

In the portal, a column provides the scheme which is available for MSMEs. This includes the existing schemes, new schemes and schemes for starters. Each scheme contains the details of the scheme, key benefits, to whom this scheme is available for and how to apply for the particular scheme. This will help a person to choose the appropriate scheme and may apply for availing benefits.

CONCLUSION :

MSMEs are the backbone of a country’s economy. To sustain them, measures have been taken by the government and is trying to revive them so that the country’s economy gets stable and they can soon anticipate the opportunities provided by the government and capture the market again. Therefore they have launched the portal which makes it easier to find all the collective information at one single portal and will help millions of MSME registered to avail the benefits, start their main objective of business and bring their car back on the correct track.
