The Public Notice No. 62 (RE-03)/2002-2007, dated 11th May 2004, issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, makes amendments to the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007 and Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2. The amendments involve changes in the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) for various products. New entries have been added for chemicals and allied products (Sr. No. A-3318 to A-3332), engineering products (Sr. No. C-1967), plastic products (Sr. No. H-545), textile products (Sr. No. J-359), and miscellaneous products (Sr. No. K-168). Detailed amendments and corrections are outlined for specific export items such as Dimethyl Sulphate, Paper, Perfumed Candles, U.V. Flush Colours, and more, along with updated import item norms for each. The notice also includes alterations in product descriptions, quantities, and materials allowed in import. These changes aim to align the export and import processes with the latest industry standards, ensuring better regulation and compliance within the global trade framework.

Attention is invited to Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended and Paragraphs 4.9 and 4.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 2002-2007, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended from time to time.
2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/deletions/corrections and additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended.
3. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended, amendments/ corrections/ deletion at appropriate places as mentioned in Annexure “A” to this Public Notice shall be made.
4. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms, following additions shall be made at appropriate places as mentioned below:-

After the existing entry at Sr. No.A-3317, new entries at Sr. No. A-3318 to A-3332 shall be added as per Annexure ”B” to this Public Notice.
