Notification No. 13 (RE-2003), dated June 20, 2003, amends the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for the 2002-2007 period. Under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Export and Import Policy, the Central Government introduces a change by adding a note to Appendix III of Schedule 1, which deals with imports. The amendment reflects the rescission of the DIPP orders dated April 24, 1989, and February 24, 1993, under the Essential Commodities Act, 1995. As a result, the items listed at Sl. No. 69–76 in the appendix are now deleted from the ITC (HS) classifications for imports. This change impacts the regulations governing the import of certain commodities, aligning them with updated government policies.
