On July 2, 1999, the Government of India issued Notification No. 17(RE-99) to amend the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002. The amendment involved the deletion of an entry related to “Cardamoms small green” under EXIM code 090830 03. Additionally, the description for EXIM code 090830 02 was clarified as “Cardamoms small green,” which remains categorized under the “Free” policy, with no specific conditions applied. The amendment streamlined the list by removing the previously listed code for small green cardamoms. This change was made in line with the government’s efforts to update and maintain the accuracy of the Export and Import Policy and ensure smoother trade operations.
