Since Zuari had obtained a long term captive source of the raw material by purchase of right from Texmaco for mining of limestone by operating the cement plant, therefore, the raw material was required to be won, gotten and brought to the surface and as such, could not be said to be revenue expenditure.
Government of India has approved the extension of Interest Equalization Scheme for pre and post shipment Rupee export credit, with same scope and coverage, for one more year i.e. upto March 31, 2021. The extension shall take effect from April 01, 2020 and end on March 31, 2021 covering a period of one year.
Through this scheme government has made efforts for revival of real estate sector by lowering the GST rates as it will lower the prices of apartment thereby increasing the purchasing power of the common man. Hopefully government meets its objectives through this scheme.
