Rule 3(2)0) of the CCS(Conduct) Rules puts the responsibility of ensuring the integrity of subordinates squarely on the supervisory officer. The same was conveyed by my D.O. that a supervisory officer cannot absolve himself from vicarious liability if, having the right, ability and duty to control the activities of a subordinate, he does not take steps to prevent the acts of misdemeanour by subordinates.
In exercise of the power conferred upon me by sub-section (1) of section 5 read with clause (91) of section 2 of the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and the rules framed thereunder, I do hereby assign the functions to be performed under this Act by a proper officer as defined in clause (91) of section 2
As you are aware the implementation of GST will be on 1st July, 2017. The introduction of GST heralds a new era in indirect taxation as well as in cooperative fiscal federalism in India. The officers & staff of CBEC have been assiduously working over the past several months for the smooth introduction of GST. In exercise of powers conferred by section 164 of Andhra Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes Andhra Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017.
In exercise of power conferred upon me under the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, I hereby notify the following 230 Facilitation Centers for the purposes of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Ordinance, 2017 and rules framed there under.
Posting of officers as per the aforesaid Office Orders has been done keeping in view the fact that GST is being introduced from 1st July, 2017 and hence officers have to be in position well in time to ensure a smooth transition to GST and to guide the trade and industry.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) would be rolled out throughout the country with effect from 1st July, 2017. To provide all possible support for the roll out of GST, Ministry has set-up a ‘GST Facilitation Cell’ under the Economic Adviser, Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The Cell will be in touch with all Stakeholders as well as Professional Institutes (PIs) and Industry Associations.
In exercise of power conferred upon me under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Ordinance, 2017, I hereby specify that the Senior Joint Commissioner, the Joint Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, the State Tax Officer and the Assistant State Tax Officer of State Tax posted in the Circles shall exercise their jurisdiction of the respective Circles.
In exercise of power conferred upon me under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Ordinance, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the said Ordinance), I hereby specify that the Additional Commissioner, the Senior joint Commissioner, the Joint Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, the State Tax Officer and the Assistant State Tax Officer of State Tax posted in the Central Registration Unit, a unit under the Commercial Taxes Directorate, West Bengal, with its office at Sales Tax Building, 14, Beliaghata Road, Kolkata – 700 015, for dealing with the matter of Registration under the said Ordinance and the Rules made there under, shall exercise jurisdiction over the whole of the State of West Bengal unless specific jurisdiction is mentioned.
In exercise of power conferred upon me under sub-section (2) of section 4 of the West Bengal Goods and Services Tax Ordinance, 2017, I hereby specify that the Joint Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, the State Tax Officer and the Assistant State Tax Officer of State Tax posted in the Charges shall exercise their jurisdiction of the respective Charges.
