The department has generated Computerized Desk Audit (CDA) reports for the period 2013-2014 after analyzing electronic data pertaining to e-Returns, audit reports in form e-704 and annexures thereof uploaded by all the dealers.
The invoice based monthly returns for the financial year 2016-17 are being filed by the eligible registered dealers form 29th August 2016. The Trade Circular No. 22 T of 2016 dt. 26th August 2016 was issued describing the procedure of filing the returns in new formats. The Trade Circular also mentioned the extended dates of return filing for the purpose of late fee exemption for the period from April 2016 onwards.
Date for payment and submission of proof of payment. (1) The fifty per cent. of the requisite amount payable under the Act shall be paid on or before the 30th November 2016 and remaining fifty per cent. amount shall be paid on or before the 31st December 2016.
It has become necessary to give more time to dealers to amicably settle the disputes relating to payment and to facilitate compliance under the said Act, it is proposed to extend the said date upto 30th November 2016.
