The Commissioner of Sales Tax, Maharashtra State, Mumbai, issued a notification dated April 24th, 2024, regarding the territorial jurisdiction of the Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax (Nodal-1), Pune, under the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002. The notification, No. DC(A&R)3/PWR/JURI S-2023/1/ADM-8, is issued under the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 10 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002.
Effective from August 28th, 2023, the notification amends a previous notification, No. PWR-2012/2/ADM-8 dated June 22nd, 2012, as follows:
- Serial No. 3 is deleted.
- A new entry, Serial No. 64A, is inserted, designating the Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax (Nodal-1), Pune, with the jurisdiction of the whole of the state except the area within the limits of Greater Mumbai and the Revenue Districts of Thane and Raigad.

MAHARASHTRA VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2002.
No. DC(A&R)3/PWR/JURI S-2023/1/ADM-8 .—In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (3) of section 10 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 (Mah. IX of 2005), the Commissioner of Sales Tax, Maharashtra State, Mumbai hereby with effect from 28th August, 2023, amends the Notification No. PWR-2012/2/ADM-8, dated the 22nd June 2012, as follows, namely :―
In the Schedule appended to the said Notification, ―
(1) Serial No. 3 shall be deleted.
(2) After Serial No. 64, the following shall be inserted, namely :―
| “64A | Joint Commissioner of Sales Tax (Nodal-1), Pune. | PUN-VAT-F-901 | Whole of the State except the area included within the limits of Greater Mumbai and the Revenue Districts of Thane and Raigad.”. |
