CMA Institute is in the process of initiating formation of Multi-disciplinary Partnership Firms for practicing members of the Institute with members of other professional bodies as per the CWA Act and Regulations.
ICSI came with amendment Company Secretaries (Amendment) Regulations, 2020. Under this amendment it seems that, now a Practicing Member (COP Holder) of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) can enter into partnership with Chartered Accountant, Cost and Works Accountants, Advocates etc.
The Lok Sabha passed on 19.12.2011 the much awaited Chartered Accountants (Amendment) Bill, 2010, which provides for the following: Firstly, to enable the Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to form Multi Disciplinary firms i.e Partnership with other recognised professions and offer Multi Professional services in a competitive and commercial manner. It permits to enter into partnership with prescribed profession.
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has issued a notification no. Na.1-CA(7)/116/ 2008 dated 25-9-2008 incorporating various amendment to the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988.There are 16 amendments to the regulations. One of the major amendments is provisions relating to multidisciplinary partnership firm.
