In order to make available Vector Borne Disease specific health insurance product addressing the needs of insuring public for getting health insurance coverage to specified Vector Borne Diseases, the Authority encourages all general and health insurers to offer Standard Vector Borne Disease Health Policy (Hereafter referred as standard product).
As the CKYCR is now fully operational for individual customers, it has been decided to extend the CKYCR to Legal Entities (LEs). Accordingly, REs shall upload the KYC data pertaining to accounts of LEs opened on or after April 1, 2021, on to CKYCR in terms of Rule 9 (1A) of the PML Rules.

The committee is of the view that, given the potential opportunity for motor insurance business through the MISPs, there is a need to develop and strengthen regulatory framework and supervision activities for this distribution channel. It was also suggested that the registration, operational and code of conduct requirements across similar intermediaries remain the same.
