[Notification No. S.O. 530(E), dated 17th May, 2002.]

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (ii) of sub-section (1) of section 80L of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby specifies the following debentures, in the nature of bonds, namely:–

(i) the Industrial Development Bank of India Regular Income Bond bearing distinctive numbers from 2027809 to 2027924 under Option A, from 2124944 to 2125837 under Option B of the face value of Rs. 5,000 each;

(ii) the Industrial Development Bank of India Growing Interest Bond bearing distinctive numbers from 2225072 to 2425093 of the face value of Rs. 5,000 each; and

(iii) the Industrial Development Bank of India Infrastructure (Tax-saving) Bond bearing distinctive numbers from 2748660 to 2750843 under Option A, from 2958573 to 2758775 under Option B, from 2763819 to 2763981 under Option C and from 2877899 to 2879082 under Option D of the face value of Rs. 5,000 each,

issued by the Industrial Development Bank of India, Mumbai, a corporation established under section 3 of the Industrial Development Bank of India Act, 1964 (10 of 1964) in its public issue of bonds in Flexibonds-II Series (200102), for the purposes of the said clause.
