Central Action Plan 2013-14 has given annual action target for the work of Tax Recovery Officers. On a review of the present work of TRO, it has been found that the Manual for TRO which was published in 2007 needs to be revisited afresh, keeping in view the emphasis on recovery of tax collections, modern methods that could be employed for recovery, improvement in tax administration, including computerisation of tax-records and assessment work, etc. Keeping, in view the same, it has been decided to constitute a Committee to revisit the extant Manual for TRO as published in 2007. Following would be the chairperson and Members of the Committee.

2. The Committee shall submit draft Manual for TRO’s in two months from the date of this Order. The Chairperson can co-opt any other officer, if he so desires.
