Due to Covid 19 pandemic in India, CBIC has extended the Due Dates of filing GSTR returns of various assesses for the months of February 2020 to August 2020.

There are different due dates for different types of assessee and due dates also vary based on the Turnover of the assessee which makes the understanding and remembrance of the due dates difficult and complex.

The Interest liabilities are also bifurcated based on the Turvover of the assesses. And there is also reduced interest for some category of assessee. The Late Fee liabilities are also differently bifurcated based on different types and Turnover of the Assesses. This will make the calculation of Interest and Late Fee very complex and prone to errors.

So, to remove such hurdles and assist our Readers, we have prepared  “GSTR-3B Interest & Late Fee Calculator” which will auto calculate the Interest and Late Fee liabilities from July 2017 to August 2020.

Guide to Use GSTR-3B Interest & Late Fee Calculator :

Step 1 : Go to Return Period for which you want to calculate GSTR-3B Interest & Late Fee Amount.

Step 2 : Select the State Group from the Dropdown. The State Group has been broadly classified into 2 Groups which is as follows :

Group- I States : Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana or Andhra Pradesh or the Union territories of Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep

Group- II States : Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand or Odisha or the Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Chandigarh and Delhi

Step 3 : Fill the Additional Tax Liability. In case you wish to file a Nil Return then simply enter Zero.

Step 4 : Enter the Return Filing Date on which the said GSTR-3B Return is being filed. For your convenience all the Fields will prepopulate today’s Date.

Step 5 : Verify the inputs.

GSTR-3B Interest and Late fee would have been calculated for the said Return.

Note : The Calculator has been updated till Notification 57/2020- Central Tax dated 30/06/2020.

    As per calculator only Rs 2180/- levied as on date 17.10.2020 but on GST portal Rs 10000/- charged for March-2020 GSTR-3B.

    Why this diffrnce….?
    Pls suggest what to do there is a Rs 10000/- levied late charges for March 2020

      You can save gst late fees of on nill return also.
      There is a way to save late fees 500rs per month on nil return.
      what’s up to me to know how to save late fees.
