Sub: Wrongly seeded aadhaar no – Introduction of new functionality regarding
Sir.
Various mails have been received from field offices reporting the rejection of DLCs due to incorrect Aadhaar number seeded against PPOs through DLC registration of the pensioners. After examining the issue, a new functionality `Rectify Mismatch Aadhaar number has been provided in the application software. The scenario of the case is explained below:-
If pensioner submits his DLC using PPO number which does not pertain to that pensioner and the same PPO is available in our data, in such cases the details of Name , Date of birth and Account No. will get mismatched with the available data. In this situation, the task will be pushed to field offices through `Manual Confirmation of Jeevan Pramaan’ function. However, If DA/SS(PDS) wrongly approved such mismatch cases, the Aadhaar no. will get seeded against wrong PPO No and the life certificate flag will get enabled.
In the aforesaid situation, if the original pensioner submits his Digital life certificate, the application software will reject the DLC by throwing rejection status as ‘Already seeded Aadhaar number does not match with currently received Aadhaar no.’
This function will facilitate to remove such incorrect Aadhaar numbers in the pensioner database populated against wrong PPO number and it will inactivate the life certificate flag also. A letter will also get generated against the original pensioner requesting him/her to submit the DLC once again.User manual in this regard was already circulated to all field offices through mail dated. 28.05.2018.
Field offices are requested to utilize this function in order to remove the incorrect aadhaar number so that the pensioner could submit his/her DLC without rejection.
