We are on the threshold of a new India. The Government is currently on a cleanliness drive of the economy. With the last few years witnessing major reforms the latest pit stop has been the demonetization of currency notes. Various steps have been taken like major amendments to the now renamed Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act 1988; roadmap to Goods and Services Tax; Income Declaration Scheme 2016; passage of Real Estate regulation and Development act 2016; setting up of the Supreme Court monitored Special Investigation Team to target Black Money etc. to move towards a new direction.
With so many changes happening, all types of dispute resolution mechanism is hard pressed for time as it tackles the issues on hand. The functioning of the judiciary, tribunals and other authorities follows a certain procedure and decorum and representation and winning cases at these authorities becomes easier.
This handbook will provide adequate insight of preparation and presentation of cases before adjudicating authorities and tribunals and procedures followed before them that would be helpful in understanding the nuances and methodologies to be adopted for representation before them.
I shall appreciate further questions from our readers and all concerned on various issues so that they can be included in our future edition or replied through email rajkumarradukia@caaa.in
I will appreciate if our readers can give suggestions and criticism and call attention to errors which might have inadvertently crept in. I would be glad to receive your queries or suggestions.
