All about Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS)
Under revise scheme of study course issued by ICAI there are two new names comprise ICITSS and Advanced ICITSS which need to be completed to become a Chartered Accountant.
Under old Scheme there are following additional courses need to be complete to become CA.
1. Orientation course
2. ITT
3. Advanced ITT
4. GMCS 1 and GMCS 2
Now in new course there are only two names comes out as ICITSS and Advanced ICITSS
Applicability of the ICITSS for old Students:
A student who has already Completing or completed OC & ITT will not be required to undergo that course again.
Today we are going to discuss in detail about ICITSS which is Four weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills.
So if we go in detail we will see there are two courses under ICITSS:
1. Information Technology Course (earler it was ITT for 2 Weeks)
2. Soft Skills (earlier it was orientation for 2 weeks)
So ICITSS is nothing but sum of the earlier two courses i.e. ITT and Orientation Course. Again the New ICITSS has four week program which comprise 15 days Information Technology and 15 Days Orientation course.

So first we discuss about 15 Days Information Technology Course
About the Course
The training components of the course focus on use of Application Software relevant for Accounting, Auditing and allied areas related to the CA profession. The training would focus on knowledge of Electronic Spread Sheet, Data Base Management System, Computer Assisted Audit Technique (CAAT) and Accounting Package etc.
When to Complete
Has to be completed before commencement of the practical training for all the CA students.
For your information: ICAI allows Commerce Graduates/ Post-Graduates (with minimum 55% marks) or Other Graduates/ Post-Graduates (with minimum 60% marks) and Intermediate level passed students of Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India to enter directly to its Intermediate Course and they need to successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before commencement of the practical training.
Duration of Information technology of ICITSS
The classes are scheduled for minimum 6 hours per day, in 15 working days. The center list will be available below to the post.
Fees Applicable
The fee shall be Rs. 6500 (Six Thousand Five Hundred only) per student on non residential basis, inclusive of course material and tea/refreshment.
Eligibility to Pass Information Tech Course under ICITSS
1. Two Module Tests 20% of total
2. Project report 20% of total
3. Final Online Examination 60% of total
In case a student fails to secure 60% marks in the aggregate, he/she may be allowed to reappear for Online Examination for two more attempts free of cost. However, if a student fails to secure 60% marks even after three attempts, he/she shall have to pay a nominal fee of Rs.300/- to the Regional office/Branch of ICAI for every additional attempt.
Module Test under ICITSS
Each student has to pass two module test by securing 50% in each module.
The module test shall consist of objective type and descriptive questions.
The duration of each Module Test is one hour.
Evaluation of the module test is to be done by the ITT Centre.
In case a student fails in a Module Test, one re-appearance for each test is allowed free of cost. For any additional reappearance, the student is required to pay a nominal fee of Rs.150/- per test.
These two module tests carry 20% weightage in successfully completing the course.
Project report under ICITSS
A student of Course on Information Technology (ICITSS) is required to prepare a multi-disciplinary project of 100 marks covering all aspects of the course syllabus. The weightage of the project is 20%. The Students are required to submit the project before appearing for the Final Online Examination.
Final Online Examination under ICITSS
The Final Online Examination is of objective type questions of 3 hours duration with 200 questions.
The Online Examination software generates the Questions Paper from the question bank randomly with questions selected for topics in proportion to hours allocated to respective topics of the course.
Eligibility for Final Online Examination
A student of Course on Information Technology (ICITSS) becomes eligible to appear in the Final Online Examination only if he/ she fulfils the following criteria:
a) 90% Attendance.
b) Successfully qualifies Two Module Tests and
c) Submission of the Project Report

Now we will discuss about 15 Days Soft Skills (orientation course)
About the Course
The Orientation Course (ICITSS) aims to equip the entrants of the profession
- To familiarize with various dimensions of the Indian Accountancy Profession
- To develop effective communication and presentation skills
- To groom and motivate the entrants to be knowledgeable and skilled professionals
- To expand the significance of practical training in the life of a professional
When to Complete OC ICITSS
The students are required to undergo Orientation Course before registering for practical training
Duration of Orientation Course of ICITSS
The duration of the course shall be 90 hours (15 days X 6 hours per day). Classes are held for 6 hours each day for 6 days a week
Fees Applicable
The fee shall be Rs.7000/- (Seven thousand only) per student on non-residential basis, inclusive of course material and tea/refreshment.
This fee structure is not applicable for the students who wish to undergo Orientation Course at Dubai Overseas office.
Eligibility to Pass Orientation Course under ICITSS
Students are required to complete the Course without discontinuity.
However, in exceptional circumstances, cases of absence of students for maximum two days or four sessions may be allowed by the Chairman/Secretary of the Organizing Centre.
No cameras/ photographs be allowed in the sessions and uploaded on social networking sites.
Online registration of ICITSS
The students are required to login to the Online Portal at http://cloudcampus.icai.org or www.icaionlineregistration.org and register in a particular batch launched by the Programme Organising Unit (POU).
After registration, the students may take a print of the acknowledgement slip from the portal
Students are required to submit the same along with other documents, as mentioned in the acknowledgement slip at least two days before the commencement of the batch.

Hai, you can do any course, there is no rules to do first itt and then orientation.
