In order to stop littering due to light weight plastic carry bags, with effect from 30th September, 2021, the thickness of plastic carry bags has been increased from fifty microns to seventy five microns and to one hundred and twenty microns with effect from the 31st December, 2022. This will also allow reuse of plastic carry due to increase in thickness.

Every factor shall register the particulars of every transaction of assignment of receivables in his favour with the Central Registry set-up under section 20 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002, within such time from the date of such assignment, in such manner and subject to payment of such fee, as may be prescribed.
It is clarified that an entity which has obtained a certificate of registration or authorisation for a specific activity either under a framework or a regulation administered by IFSCA, shall not be required to seek a fresh registration under the Finance Company Regulations for carrying out the same activity, which is a permissible activity under regulation 5 of the said Regulations.
