Notification No. 29 (RE-2001), issued on 11th September 2001, extends the export period for onions under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002. This extension follows Notification No. 20 (RE-2001) dated 27th July 2001, which allowed the export of 50,000 metric tons of onions up to 31st August 2001. The new notification permits the shipment of any remaining quantity of this 50,000 M.T. export allocation until 30th September 2001. The decision aims to facilitate the completion of onion exports that were not fully utilized within the original timeframe. This extension reflects ongoing efforts to manage export logistics in the public interest.
