Taxmen have seized black money to the tune of a whopping Rs 30,000 crore (Rs 300 billion) in the country in the past two years, said the Central Board of Direct Taxes which is set to get investigative powers to boost its drive against wrong-doers.

The Delhi high court has dismissed the writ petition of French company Champagne Moet & Chandon objecting to the order of the Intellectual Property Appellate Board dismissing its appeal against an order of the Deputy Registrar of Trademarks in a trade mark case. The company is a well-known manufacture of wines which it is selling under the trademark Moet, Moet & Chandon and other brands in more than 150 countries of the world, including India.
