The income tax (I-T) department raided the premises of the South Indian Education Society (SIES) and the residences of some of its office-bearers in an operation that continued till late evening on Tuesday. This is probably the first time an educational institution in the city has been raided by I-T officials.

Ahuja is also the father-in-law of film actor Bobby Deol. I-T officials have recovered documents which show the 74-year-old had transferred a major part of his property to his daughter Tanya, wife of Bobby Deol, following which the officials recorded Tanya’s statement on the matter.
