Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. M. Kumar, President, National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) released a publication titled ‘Understanding the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016: Analysing developments in jurisprudence’, jointly prepared by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy.
The MoU comes into force from the date it was signed and is an ongoing initiative of MCA and SEBI, who are already collaborating through various existing mechanisms. A Data Exchange Steering Group also has been constituted for the initiative, which will meet periodically to review the data exchange status and take steps to further improve the effectiveness of the data sharing mechanism.
Accordingly, the Reserve Bank has today placed on its website the prudential framework for resolution of stressed assets by banks in the wake of the judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
