Last week also saw Delhi Airport Customs seize 5.85 kg of Cocaine and 18 kg Heroin, in two separate cases. These are the latest in the string of recent cases of seizures of narcotics at the Delhi Airport. In the past six months alone, Delhi Airport Customs has seized more than 50 kg of Heroin and more than 12 kg of Cocaine at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. Kudos to the officers for a job well done!

Re-operationalisation of the Scrip Transfer Recording Module on DGFT

The original duty scrip holder is required to register the duty credit scrip at the Port of Registration with Customs and the ‘transfer’ of scrips from one IEC to another IEC will be as per the negotiated terms & conditions between the buyer and the seller. DGFT/Customs shall not be responsible for any lapse between the transferor or the transferee (old or new owner of the scrips) or any dispute in this regard.

RBI Increases Market Trading Hours

The trading hours for various markets regulated by the Reserve Bank were amended with effect from April 7, 2020 in view of the operational dislocations and elevated levels of health risks posed by COVID-19. Subsequently, with abatement of operational constraints, the trading hours were partially restored with effect from November 9, 2020.
