In exercise of powers conferred under section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule –1 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items.
NOTIFICATION NO. 27/2009-2014- A certificate that the toys being imported conform to the standards prescribed in ASTM F963 or standards prescribed in ISO 8124 (Parts I-III) or IS 9873 [Parts I-III] or standards prescribed in EN 71;
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby amends Schedule – I (Imports) of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items as under:
‘Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products (Packaging and Labelling) Rules, 2008’ require that every package of cigarette or any other tobacco product shall have the specified health warning in the manner specified in the Schedule to the Rules. Such health warning shall occupy at least 40% of the principal display area of the front panel of the pack and shall be positioned parallel to the top edge of the package and in the same direction as the information on the principal display area.
The drawback rates prescribed in the said Schedule against tariff items 711301 and 711302 shall apply only to goods exported by airfreight, post parcel or authorised courier through the Custom Houses as specified in para 4A.12 of the Hand Book of Procedures (Vol. I), 2009-14 published vide Public Notice No.1/2009-14 dated 27 th August, 2009 of the Government of India in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, after examination by the Customs Appraiser/Superintendent (Jewellery Expert) to ascertain the quality of gold/silver and the quantity of net content of gold/silver in the gold/silver jewellery. The Free on Board (FOB) value of any consignment through authorised courier shall not exceed rupees twenty lakhs.
