The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) today said that B M Sharma has been elected as its president for the year 2010-2011. Sharma, who replaces G N Venkataraman, was earlier the vice president of the cost accounting regulator, it said in a statement.

The PD Committee in its meeting held on 10th June 2010 at Bangalore has approved in principle the “Draft of ICWAI Members’ Handbook-A guide to members in employment and practice”. It was decided by PD Committee to seek feedback/ suggestions from the members by 7th July 2010. After analyzing these suggestions the PD Directorate will incorporate the same before putting up to Council in its meeting to held in July 2010 for final approval before printing.
