Rules 7 has been substituted by a new Rule whereby, point of taxation in respect specified service providers which includes Chartered Accountants (individuals or proprietary firms or partnership firms) will be the date on which payment is received.
Management Accounting Research Foundation of ICWAI (ICWAI-MARF) has been appointed as an advisor to the Department of Post, Ministry of Communications and IT (DOP) and a MOU has been signed to that effect here today. This appointment as per the MOU will be in vogue for a period of 24 months during which ICWAI-MARF will constitute a team which will extend resource support of a major modernisation plan of DOP of its cost and management accounting practices.

The Committee for Digitization of Balance Sheet and Annual Reports filed with MCA through MCA-21, Ministry of Corporate Affairs has proposed to implement e-filing in XBRL Format in phased manner starting from April 2011. In this connection, the Institute is planning to organize one full day Workshop on XBRL for practicing members on March 25, 2011 at ICWAI, 3, Institutional Area, New Delhi-110 003. CEP hours credit would be given as per the rules of the Institute. There is no fee chargeable as course fee for attending the workshop.
