1. (1) These regulations may be called the Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Third Amendment Regulations, 2021. The FSSAI on December 18, 2020, has issued a Notification regarding the revised guidelines for Food Business Annual Return Filing. Now the Important Announcement is that Food Safety Compliance System (FoSCoS – https://foscos.fssai.gov.in) is operational pan-India w.e.f 1st November 2020 to replace the existing FLRS portal.
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby (FSSAI) appoints 124 persons as Food Analysts, for the purpose of performing functions under the said Act and Rules/ Regulations made thereunder with all India Jurisdiction
(1) This order may be called the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs (Amendment) Order, 2021. (2) It shall come into force with immediate effect.
Section 28(1) of FSS Act, 2006 stipulates that If a food business operator considers or has reasons to believe that a food which he has processed, manufactured or distributed is not in compliance with this Act, or the rules or regulations, made thereunder, he shall immediately initiate procedures to withdraw the food in question from the market and consumers indicating reasons for its withdrawal and inform the competent authorities thereof.
