In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020, as amended from time to time, the Director General of Foreign Trade makes the following amendments in Hand Book of Procedures 2015-2020 as under

It has been observed that significant time is being taken in assessment of bills of entry from date of filing in cases where the bills of entry are filed under DEEC/EPCG schemes. The main reason for the same is that the bills of entry do not contain details of registration/bond debit of advance/EPCG license as the same is required for extending the benefit of DEEC/EPCG schemes.

Import of 3 Lakh MT of raw sugar under Exim Code 170114 of Chapter 17 of ITC (HS), 2017—Schedule-1 (Import Policy) is allowed at 25% Customs duty under TRQ. Import of 3 Lakh MT of raw sugar under Exim Code 170114 is allowed to be imported by millers/ refiners at 25% Tariff Duty, through the following ports in the southern states and corresponding Regional Authorities of DGFT, as in the table below:
Contact@DGFT system has been activated at the DGFT website (www.dgft.gov.in) as a single point contact for resolving all foreign trade related issues. Exporters/Importers are requested to use this facility for resolution of foreign trade related issues either directly concerning DGFT (headquarters or regional offices) or concerning other agencies of the Central or State Governments.

Companies having exported the above mentioned items to Algeria may check up with their client if all bank formalities mainly the pre- authorized bank direct debit instruction, has been completed before 4th July, 2017.
