Sir/Madam,
Sub: Advisory regarding issues related to error in GST TRAN 1– req.
It is observed that many GST registration applicants/migrated tax payers are facing problems related to error in on TRAN-1, in which they are receiving message that credit for a particular Registration is ‘Processed with Error‘. The reason for this error could be that the Central Excise / Service Tax / Maharashtra VAT application for which the assesses is trying to avail the Credit has not been mentioned in the GST Registration application while Migrating to GST or while applying for the new GST Registration, as the case may be.
2. In this regard, it may be advised to any assessee facing such issue that any previous Registration (like that of Central Excise / Service Tax / Maharashtra VAT), which had not been mentioned previously in the GST Registration application, while Migrating or while applying for new Registration, may be added to the ‘Existing Registrations tab in the GST Registration, by way of a non-core Amendment to the GST Registration. The option for doing the same is available on the GST Front-End Dashboard of the Taxpayer.
3. It is requested that GST Seva Kendra may be informed accordingly.
Your Faithfully,
(Sarthak Saxena)
