Seeks to provide exemption to all goods mentioned in the seventh schedule to the finance act, 2005 from whole of the additional duties of excise leviable thereon.

Notification No. 18/2017-Central Excise

New Delhi, the 1st July, 2017

G. S.R. (E).– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) read with sub-section (3) of section 85 of the Finance Act, 2005, (18 of 2005) and in super session of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 6/2005 -Central Excise , dated the 1st March, 2005 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 126 (E) dated the 1st March, 2005, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such super session, the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts all goods specified in the Seventh Schedule to the said Finance Act, 2005 from whole of the additional duty of excise leviable thereon.
